Those candidates who are interested and eligible can apply for the post through the Online on or before 7th October 2019.
Online applications are invited in the prescribed Application Form available at web-link https://colrec.du.ac.in/ from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor, in the Academic Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, in the College (Rs. 57700-182400/-), in various departments/ subjects of the College. The last date for receipt of application is 07.10.2019 or within two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, whichever is later.

Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professor (Shivaji College) Job
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: I. For the disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, Languages, Library Science, Journalism & Mass Communication and Physical Education.*
Eligibility (A or B): A. 1) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this document).
B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). Note: The academic score as specified in the screening guidelines for the Colleges of the University shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview. (Kindly refer to General Note in the last section of this document)
* Explanatory Note: In pursuance of the clause 1.1.(i) of the UGC Regulations 2018, existing qualifications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor and Principal have been retained with respect to departments of the University/colleges where courses related to Teacher Education are offered, for which NCTE guidelines will apply. (Reference EC Resolution No. 16 dated 28.05.2015).
